A group of scientists will embark on the Tara Coral expedition, in the heart of the Coral Triangle, which will include 26 stops. The goal of the expedition is to understand why, in this severely impacted area, certain corals are resilient to climate change.
As part of the “Art for the Ocean” project, the first artist joined the expedition between the Marshall Islands and Japan. The artist is SMITH, an artist-researcher working at the intersection of various disciplines (photography, sculpture, installations, film, and performance). His intention is simple: “to make the crossing a space of attention, a laboratory of presence.”
